Mini Backhoe CADDigger 728

This is a video clip of the CAD Digger Model 728 that I made myself from the purchased plans created by John Mikulas over at www.cadplans.com. My Dad and me were digging out a slopping hill to put up a retaining wall. After digging this all out we put in a drainage before putting up the wall. This was about 50 feet of digging. I really enjoyed building the CADDigger over about a two summer period. This is a little piece of property in Puyallup, Washington. I filmed this with my older Canon miniDV camera in the 4:3 aspect ratio. Hope you enjoy.

After getting this together and doing some testing I did find that there was a need for more counter balance so I did add a rear platform for adding metal weights to help with this issue. Depending on soil composition it still has worked very well for certain jobs but definitely not all.
Thanks for the comment and I really enjoyed your videos.
